Blue Java Butler summer hours: Monday- Friday: 8 am - 2 pm; Saturday-Sunday: closed
Uris Deli summer hours: Monday- Friday: 8 am - 3 pm; Saturday-Sunday: closed

The Food Pantry at Columbia and Columbia Dining announced they will partner with national organization Swipe Out Hunger, as part of a continued effort to address hunger amongst its student community and the stigma associated with food insecurity. Nationally, 1 in 3 college students are food insecure.
Swipe Out Hunger is a national nonprofit that partners with students and universities to provide services and support to help address food insecurity, currently across 74 campuses to date. The Columbia Dining Swipe Out Hunger program will direct funds to the Food Pantry for students…

Janie originally started baking as a form of self-care during a period of recovery, after struggling with addiction and homelessness as a young adult. Slowly, as her skills and confidence grew, she began to nurture her baking hobby into a fledgling small business.

Spring Recess is a time for Columbia students to take a much-needed break from classes, studying, and campus activities. For Columbia Dining staff, it’s a chance to step away from their normally bustling operations and work together on new menus and cooking techniques.
In partnership with the Columbia-Harlem Small Business Development Center, Columbia Dining hosted the Harlem Buyer Fair on January 15 in John Jay Dining Hall. This annual event helps connect local food, body care and gift vendors with interested buyers from Whole Foods, FreshDirect, Columbia Dining and other corporations nationwide. Vendors offered samples of their products and informational materials to attendees and received valuable feedback directly from potential consumers.
